better contact on the 12" but they will fit 11" too

315/35/18 is really tall tire and will help traction a lot, bit longer gears thats nice

I run the 315/35/18 on a 18x12. It's a tall tire at 26.4" and you want to as wide a wheel as possible. I am actually switching to a 18x12.5 which will be ideal. I would not run a 18x11. The tire will fit on it but lateral performance will suffer. For straight line drag racing it doesn't really matter I guess. For max performance on a road course you want to run as wide a wheel as possible to stretch the sidewall slightly. The 991RSR runs a 31/71-18 on a 18x14 wheel! 991Cup runs the same tire on a 18x12.

I run the same mt on my vette. It's actually a 315 tire. They run super wide. I have them on a 10" wheel.

I'd also like to ride in a 911 that actually needs that much tire.

Circling back to this thread. I'm about to pull the trigger on these toyo tq radials. 315/35/18. I'm still AWD however.

What size tire do i need to run up front in order to maintain the proper parameters for the traction control system, etc ??

315/35 will likely be to tall to run. Whats the height 27"?

Steve they are the same height as my 325/30/19 and fit with Some work. This is the size Todd ran for a long time. I will be getting a set as well just for use at the drag strip though. Cheap 11 inch wide wheels for me for a little more flex. If using regularly on the street a 12 would probably be better.

You need to run a slightly taller tire in front than rear to keep AWD happy... So at least 26.7" tall front... Im not sure that will fit and maintain a decent ride height/if it fits at all.

Missed the awd part. That size is not good for you them. Run a 335/30/18 instead. Tallest front tire you can fit is a 26 inch like I have and it's a lot of work to make it fit, I wouldn't recommend. It would be right on the edge of what the diff and take but you'd loose most of the awd of the awd doing so.

Thanks for the info. I may get the r888's. 315/30/18 in the rear and 235/40/18 up front.

I would consider 245/40-18 front with 315/30-18 rear. I have this tires in Nitto NT01, but not installed on my wheels so I can't give any driving impressions, but I have read good things on forums about this sizing combo
