2001 996 turbo orient red

Year: 2001
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Price: $26000
Mileage: 128319
Color: Orient red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): IL
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

The time has come for me to say goodbye to my 2001 996tt. It has been a great daily driver and has never once left me stranded. It has been meticulously maintained by Kauth and Mayeur of Peoria,IL. No engine lights or warning lights of any kind. Had a 112,000mile service of a new sachs stage 2 clutch pressure plate and flywheel, new ignition coils and plugs, and maf sensor has always been serviced with Mobile1. Last week it got all new tires and brake pads and installed new rotors on the front. It has a evom cold air kit,B&M billet shifter and an Xpipe exhaust with cats. awd has been unbolted and can be easily reinstalled or I can ship it to the buyer at no additional cost. Exterior is the low production color of Orient Red and interior is grey and has only one flaw on the dash pad. previous owner put a wet beach towel on the dash by the windshield and the combination of wet and heat caused the dash to ripple a tiny bit. Car has never been wrecked or repainted and has an invisible bra on the front. Front lower spoiler is cracked as our roads in Illinois suck and this is number 4 spoiler for me. Only reason for sale is that I purchased a project air cooled Porsche and will be restoring it this winter. The sale of this 996turbo will help finalize the funding needed.

Does the color pull purple undertones in person?

I removed the awd as I was going to start modifying this car and wasnt concerned with inclimate weather. There is nothing wrong with the front driveline except it wasnt what I wanted. Then this 1971 Porsche came along at a great price and in need of a complete restoration and that is what I have been wanting all along.

It is a unique color as the color constantly changes different hues of red through out the day as the sun changes.

i know the car is sold but I am curious about the headlights... I am assuming the owner didnt care much for the style of the 996's. i wasnt aware there was an alternative. anyone know what/where aftermarket the headlights in the picture can be purchased from and how easy the replacement job is? they look much better than the oem

thanks for any info

Haha, to each his own. I think OEM looks much better.

Pretty sure those are just painted overlays on top of the OEM headlights, though.

I actually sanded the factory headlights down, matched the paint and basecoat/clearcoated the headlights so there is no overlay or paint lines
