What defect? I hadn't noticed anything wrong...

 

After looking at your photo again in larged, it looks like a reflection from the roof and the windshield that makes the clear lens over the gear pattern look as if it has a defect. My car had an area that was like a triangle where it was foggy over a certain part of the gear pattern. That is why Aston Martin replaced the gear **** under warranty. Sorry for the confusion.

Another year to park my Aston next to my messy desk for the Minnesota winter! And yes that is a street legal coffin in the background with flame throwers (my neighbors project in the next door office).

Kind of. No copy/pasting required, though: it's the two shots layered on top of each other (shot from a tripod, of course), with the bonnet edited out of the shot with the bonnet open.

 

Ran out this morning and gave it a shot
