AI file for 2014 DB9 Sill Plaques
AI file for 2014 DB9 Sill Plaques
I created two AI files for those wanting to change their sill plaques. These files are for a 2014 DB9 that had custom plates from the previous owner. It's design is based on the newer Carbon Black sill plaques that are more dramatic. The plaque size is standard from what I can gather: 1.155" x 5.5" (29.3mm x 139.7 mm). An engraving service will need this AI file to laser engrave the plate. Remove plaques, send to engraver. They will media blast or sand the steel plate to remove the old lettering and then they laser engrave the new lettering. Anyone interested in the AI files just let me know. For some reason this site won't let me upload IA files. If anyone can change that setting that would be great, then I could post them for download. Cheers.
Done. Attached is the .JPG file for viewing. I can send you the AI files. Send a request to my Hotmail account: t e c h g u r u @Hotmail.com. Obviously remove all the spaces. There are two files. 1) One file you can edit the HMIE to make it custom to the owner, such as: "Hand made in England for Michael Smith". 2) The other AI file has the HMIE text fixed. Of course you'll need Adobe Illustrator to open or manipulate the files. Cheers.
Do you have PM's activated? I would like this emailed to me
Might come in handy for the day I can finally pick up a DBS Volante...
Edit: I missed the part where you posted your email; email sent!

Just a simple Vantage logo like this?
Did you wand me to add a simple Vantage logo like this on the left side of the plaque in the location where the DB9/DBS logo is currently? The word "Vantage" is much longer so I may have to shrink the text size a bit.
Ok. Thanks. Ill should have it ready tomorrow. Also, the HMIE font on the DB9 jpg image above is wrong. Its actually correct in the DBS HMIE image above. But regardless, the font is correct in all the AI files. So if you open the AI files in Illustrator, everything is correct. Jon.
