Latest round of mods complete. Gonna dyno next weekend. Predictions?
Yeah why not my latest round of mods is slowly coming together
Proto 12mm head studs finally going in, head ported and polished, fuel filter re-located to wheel well, proto rods and much more i dont remember

Not only did you lose all credibility here, but has also gained 2 new names.. "Slow Adult" and "Liar."
enjoy your ban! I know we will!
Listen, youve always seemed like a good guy. That "Ban Bauer" guy is clearly 550hp996 or whatever his name is. Clearly, this forum means the world to him. Enough that he would make a fake name to get back on here. Don' fall for anything he has to say, you'r smarter than that.
It's truly sad when adult men act like school girls but TT550996 or Keith or whatever his name is on another level of mental instability. Kinda scary actually

Sure bro but u have also made big power claims from stock k16s and have not backed up anything with a dyno report or vbox?
Im completely honest what happens to me i post to the point of my not so recent rod bending episode.
Bro if u making 530+whp on stock k16s dyno and post cause that would save the headache of pushing k16 billets that little bit to far like I did.

No claims, only guesses and I've repeatedly said it's all bench racing till I put up some numbers. The last video i posted was just that...a video. Keith turned it into a cluster****.
I will dyno and run at the track as soon as my fueling issue is resolved. With that said, understand that this car is not my life and I swing my own wrenches. I will install the 5bar, hopefully, this weekend. It will depend on if I have the time to do it.
You guys are both cool and honest. R talked about the enthusiasm of his build based on how his car was running he put some guesses out there and said he would get data. Then one think after another came up like clutch, fuel and family stuff. Unfortunately a few people (or one) twisted it into a gigantic myth and it started to grow bigger and bigger into a twilight zone episode. K16s usually in the conventional sets up are good for about 500 crank hp maybe 520. I think based on its consumption and flow and logs his car and actually a couple others doing the same thing are pushing the 550 crank mark. Maybe less maybe more but I think it makes total sense that with the current trend of filters on the turbo chargers and 4.5+ intercoolers rather than 3.5 and 3 inch catless exhausts rather than the off-the-shelf stuff from a few years ago can definitely equate to more efficiency and ultimately translate into anywhere from 30 to 50 more horsepower. Is it making 530 to the wheels? I don't think so. But that was blown out of proportion it was just a simple innocent and optimistic guess. I could guarantee it's probably making a notable amount more than the conventional set ups we've all experienced years ago and with new MAFless tuning we can pull more out if it.
Soon we will se vbox and dyno from a few places. I have another car just like R's running the same way and sucking down 16/24 flow. Remember guys the difference between those compressor wheels is barely 2 mm and a few pounds of flow and that was with 3.5 coolers and 2.5 exhaust and full intake.

I've been working with Sam recently and we just set up my car running a MAFless setup, filters on the turbos, 3" x-pipe w/100-cell cats, IPD plenum, 3.5" ICs etc basically all the usual intake and exhaust upgrades and I will agree with both Bauer and Sam, the car feels real strong and we still have room to go.No doubt if I were to guestimate crank power is about or close to 550hp. Sam is a great guy with much knowledge and so far the car runs amazing! Cant wait to see what else we can squeeze out of it.
I have also been running Sam's MAFless Cobb tune for a while... In light of the recent threads/info, I saw it mentioned that a tuned K16 car like BauerR's would at best be running around 9 sec 60-130... Felt this had to be incorrect.
So I picked up a vbox from a friend to do some testing of my own. My car is K16, AWD.
3" EBWerks race exhaust-- no cats, no mufflers.
BMC filter in stock airbox
MAFless Cobb tune by Sam @ ByDesign ... 100 octane, 1.1 bar
Fabspeed headers (previous owner installed)
997.2/GT2RS ICs
Walbro 450 and Weldon PWM fuel pump controller..
I only got one pull in before it started to rain so decided to call it, but going to go out again tonight or tomorrow if the weather clears out. Waiting for my friend to send me the actual data from the V-Box, and apparently I did the whole 60-130 wrong, but preliminary results follow:
I started in 4th gear, at 55 mph... 60-130 time was 8.76 seconds, stayed in 4th the whole time... Call me crazy, but I think there are some gains to be had from starting in a better gear and at a lower speed so that I am not outside of the powerband/waiting for turbos to light up when the timer starts? That's a lot better than the so-called 9 secs at best time..
And I have zero doubt that BauerR's car is faster than mine. I am on stock airbox, stock intake piping/stock y-pipe/stock plenum, stock TB, etc etc. I bolded the part that I feel is the main reason for this level performance.. Huge thanks and I would recommend anyone to contact Sambo if they have questions.
And I'm not even a drag race/straight line guy, so my car isn't setup for this, I have some aero parts that probably even hurt this a little bit.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to throw filters on the turbos to see what gains that would have, but making myself show some restraint

Well... restraint= Seattle/Pacific Northwest weather, not even gonna lie- I am afraid to run open filters down there with all the water and grime.
If I didn't have a good bit invested in another intake project, I would try this to see what happens. I'm spending way too much and doing something way too complicated (full 997TT airbox conversion with high flow inlet pipes, 997TT y-pipe/plenum/TB and intake manifolds)... should work well and look factory; just complex and not guaranteed to be any better than the cheap/easy filters route.

Thanks Sam!
Yes, one member , thankfully who is now gone for good now, twisted everything around that was said.
I always made guesses, based off the way my car runs against established cars, to aid in my way of thinking.
The only thing I've ever said, without any doubt, is there is NO WAY my car is only making 450whp and best trapping 121mph. That you can take to the bank. I've also admitted that it's all bench racing with out numbers.
Now why isn't the car done yet? Well on top of what Sam already added (clutch, boost leak and fueling issues ( with install of IPD, TB and YPipe) I do have an infant, a life and Multiple Sclerosis (had an episode this past December) plus my biggest distraction is my Twin Turbo 928 project.
My car will get done really soon, I promise.

This is what I paid. Make an offer.
