Super low miles has to be the reason for that price. i did not see a single option of the car. 2001 old chassis, no 2002-2005 upgrades to justify the price. When i was looking to buy, i found a 2001 in AZ that was being offered for $55000. It had 17000 miles and no options, red black interior, one owner. Dealer could not move on price as he paid to much for it. I wound up getting a three owner Turbo S with every option that was offered, and did not spend that much. with the age of that car, to drive it, he would be looking at a hugh water pipe connection/age issue, all fluid services, belts, water pump, brake service etc.. wish him good luck......
I use the carsforsales.com pricing guide app as an approximate trend indicator. it's not perfect but typically gives you a pretty good gauge vs. nothing at all.
Values are up... I bought a 45k manual car for 41k 5 years ago, and i'm sure the same car today would be maybe 50k? Not the crazy appreciation of the other models.
02996ttx50, yours is not the only one. I do the same, add miles, rock chips and in my case, track scars. That said the fun quotient has still far exceeded any depreciation.
I feel bad for the original owner who spent $60k to drive the car for 6k miles... minimal enjoyment for the cost and 14 years of ownership in my opinion...

ha. nice to hear an equally unrepentant user/abuser. i love this car and take care of it, without regard for its monetary value - what of it remains -
the bottom line is: if we need be worried about a day to day dollar value depreciation of a 15 year old and under appreciated 911 porsche?
