Lightweight seats retrofit

Hi all,

I'm trying to retrofit DBS Lightweight seats into a V8 Vantage from 2006.

- Firstly, not the same Seat Position Adjustment Switch :
Mine ... New one
Electrical connectors : ...... 3 ............................. VS ...................... 1

- Secondly there is 2 release switch (Seat Convenience Switch), one on each side.

The wiring harness is different...
Does someone do this retrofitting ?
Any help will be appreciated ;-)

Pics from the wirings, without the seats, etc...

You're probably better asking this on Pistonheads as lightweight seats are not an option in the USA (sadly).

Memory seat control panel

It appears that you are trying to replace the standard seat controls with memory seat controls.
Memory seats first became an option on the MY07 Vantage, so your MY06 most likely won't have the correct wiring harness or file.
With the correct wiring diagrams, you might be able to make your original switches work.
Good luck!

Thanks,

I know the wiring is different, The ECU under the seats are différents and connectors too...

Do you know if I can found only the wiring seats or if it is the entire electric wiring ?

I know that DB9, DBS, Vantage since MY08 (V8 & V12) have new Seat Position Adjustment Switch with only one connector.

Still working on this? I have a line on some beautiful original Vantage carbon fiber light weight seats. Would probably be a much easier retrofit than the DBS lightweight seats. Let me know if you're interested and I will connect you with the source.

What do the lightweight carbon seats look like? Have any pics or a site for me to see them?

Are they the same ones that Kanga references above? I might be interested in them depending on color and if the door cards (or even just the door card inserts) are available as well. Feel free to PM me.
