Kato, was your old motor not reusable at all? Not worth or able to be rebuilt?

 

Totally re-buildable and re-usable. I had an overheat most likely due to a coolant issue (popped hose) that led to a little internal metal/metal dance one afternoon... The parts weren't that expensive to replace but the labor and downtime made that option less desireable. After exploring options around that, I realized that I didn't want to build a 900hp monster and opted to buy the new one with warranty with the updates/upgrades. The old motor was sold to recoup some of the costs. It made sense when looking at the big picture/downtime aspects and now that old motor will be turned into a monster by another 6speeder and unveiled at a future date!

Trust me, this price is untouchable. Used motors have been going for more than this and remember, NO CORE CHARGE! Anyone playing with big HP numbers and pushing the envelope might want to consider putting this thing in the garage for a rainy day!

 

But the warranty runs with the purchase date, no?

Yes, unfortunately it does... Mine is ticking away...

Still...somebody is going to kick themself for not buying this but I guess we can't see the future so...
