Feeler: 997GTRS White/Black
Feeler: 997GTRS White/Black
I am considering selling my 997GT3RS Why? Because I haven't driven it in a month and I don't think I will drive it for several more. I am also budgeting for my '08 Race season.
The car is White with full leather, bi-Xenons, Ceramic Brakes, and has the full factory installed black wheels, graphics and mirrors (I believe there are only 3 RS's like this in the country). MSRP was $ 145,950 as ordered by me. I also have a set of new Champion RS98 Wheels (Black) and MPSC Tires, and the Cargraphic Kit 5 exhaust (in the box). These are available seperately.
This car has been broken in properly with oil changes at 500 and 1000 miles, and currently has 1,280 miles. It has a Venture Shield full front, as well as side sills etc. This car is perfect without flaws.
Please let me know a price range that I should expect to sell at. I don't want to start a flame thread, so please no "Sell at MSRP" responses. I would like to reach true collectors and Porsche fans, not bottom feeders or haters.
Thanks in advance for your help!

thats allot of miles for RS and I dont think anyone can tell you what to ask for this car since you are prolly 1 of maybe 3 people that have put this many miles on the car. I can tell you 07s are going for 15-20 over with less than 200 miles
you have enough cars go away
o **** your the owner of 6speed
lol JK
I know its just a feeler but what do you have in mind?

What kind of moron says that's too many miles for an RS. What is the car a F'n piece of Art Work. For those of you on this forum that don't drive your cars go to WWW.ICOLLECTREALLYCOOLSTUFFANDAMTOOSTUPIDTOUSEIT.C OM That's the only forum you should be on. Porsche GT3's are meant to be driven and that's what all that buy them should do. I'll put more miles on my RS than any other car next year I can guarantee that. My deepest anguish is I don't have a 3 mile road course in my back yard. That would be nice. Unfortunately they won't let me pave the Bay I live on.
Your car is great and it's most likely about 25-30k over sticker right now. Cars will cool soon when the California Foreclosures hit the economy. Hopefully that's when the CGT's go to the 275-290k mark they should be selling for now.

I drive the **** out of my cars and my 1 month old Turbo I put 4,000 miles on it, so I dont give a **** how many miles and what collectors do.
Go find a GT3RS besides yours that has 1200+ miles then come talk to me, cus you wont find many if any at all. Yea maybe some dumb *** will pay 30k over for his car but that is a idiot that is lazy and doesnt want to look around to find a 07 with 40 miles on it that a member has available.
just my .02 what do I know I dont own as many cars as you do..
GL with sale
I think you should start a thread about how many miles RS owners are putting on them. This would enlighten you on the miles put on. I didn't pay over sticker for the car because I thought it would hold value. I paid over sticker for a car I wanted and that's it. I don't pay attention to new cars coming out and don't really care too much to be the first guy with one. GT3's (That's all my RS is) are incredibly fun to drive. No sugar coating anything. The car is just 100% different than a standard 997. I only have an RS because I tend to want something under me on the road others don't have. I have even lost all interest in high horsepower cars. I just sold my 05' 996 TT-S Cab a few weeks ago. It had 515RWHP and would smoke almost anything on the road in a straight line. The only Value any car has to me is the way it drives. Cars depreciate and I don't care. I buy land when I want an asset. As far as tons of RS's left on the ground there really aren't. Yes there's about 30 for sale across country but I think these are guys trying to turn 145k into 185k. I even believe the few on the internet close to 200k are guys at the wishing well. Out of the 20-30 maybe for sale in the US (out of 229 total by the way) only 1 or 2 might be white. His might be the only White one actually for sale. Carrara White is nice and doesn't stand out as much as the Orange/Green or Black that is typical. I also like this. My attack really shouldn't have been to you globalm3 but I really get tired of reading ON A CAR GUY FORUM about why you shouldn't put miles on these beasts. Do we truly think the German and Italian engineers spend 40 hours a week designing something that will sit in a garage?

ok sorry to thread jack back on subject.
I agree 1 million percent. I have 3000 miles on my RS in 2 months/ put 1000 miles on my F430 last month alone and have put 8000 miles on my 360 in 2 1/2 years. all of which pushing every mile. I sold my 996 with 12000 miles not very many but I loved that car. I'm now looking for a CS or a Ford GT to drive the hell out of. Even thinking about driving my RS to Laguna Seca next week (oh crap another 2k on the odo) because I race my Cup Car next weekend there.
