Not on that boat thankfully. What a bummer, the people who had euro delivery cars on that boat are really in a mess.

You know usually I don't care when people do this. Because I know people are smarter to not to even fall for it. But you are the guy that buys all the Wiis at wall mart and sells them for a lot higher on ebay and some kid doesn't have one on Christmas night.
Besides, by doing something like this you are messing up the M3 economy. If you don't want it, go to your local BMW get your 500 back.
Note to Mods: I don't think this qualifies as ad bashing, but if you feel that way, please forgive me and delete this response as you wish. I just can't see a 6Speed member fall for this and lose thousands of dollars if they are not in the hype of this car's economy.

70K - 56K = 14K. So you want to make 14k on a $500 deposit anyone could put on the list and get a delivery in a month? If this was an exotic, that's different. But 14K mark up on a mass produced car, Really?

Besides even these little certificates that dealers give out these days for the deposits are as good as two people's hand shake.
That's if you even have the certificate that promises you car at MSRP. Most of them just give you a receipt that has the amount on it and your signature.

The OP has sent me examples of others who sell over list..The difference is the others are OWNERS of the cars with title, not selling on spec.
Also another example of a selling he linked to was really a member here shilling for a dealer.
Stay tuned for rules regarding selling cars that are not in possession or titled. This for sale section is for members selling their cars for personal use not meant for selling untitled cars on spec for profit.

Wow, I can't believe I'm in the making of the history. You go get them Control it.
The OP also sent me an unhappy little private message and I wish he would understand what we are trying to say!
Hey man, If you have the title to a new E92 M3, for all I know come advertise it for 300K because you think the one you have is worth 300K. I'll probably come bump up you thread too and help you advertise it. But to make cheap fast profit out of these deposits....

I posted what the rules are concerning the sale of untitled cars not in possession in order for the rules to be clear and consistent.
I do not blame the OP for making the thread as the rules have not been clear or often enforced or even known.
We are trying to prevent a couple of things. One, the sale of something not owned could be fertile ground for scammers. Two, the site is not meant to be a free profit center for members, it's a community and the members who wish to make profit here are called 'Sponsors", without whom we would not have a site.

As the rules have not been clear and consistent, I will allow this thread to continue. Also the OP has been a member here for a long time and a gentlemen in his communications with me via PM.
But future sales such as this will not be allowed..
Carry on.

That's $6-7k over list, furthermore there is a potential major tax advantage depending on where you live as the car could be sold to the new buyer as used and there would be no wait for the car.
Check this post here on an M3 forum where a person indicated his sales person told him that they estimed mark up of $20k on in stock units. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...34&postcount=1
As I said prior, I don't have a gun to anyones head nor do the numerous GT3 RS Owners on here with cars on here listed over list. Some would argue that one is an exotic and warrants markup and the other doesn't.
Why not let the market determine that?

If your pricing is correct and your asking price is $70k shipped, you better be careful because if someone goes for this, you are going to be covering sales tax for that person based on your description.
So let's take your price of $63k. With my state sales tax of 6.25% and an additional $1500 for enclosed transport, you won't be making much off this deal.
Why not just get your deposit back?

Someone in a high demand area would pay less than market value and get a tax break since it would be used, I would also make a couple bucks for handling the paperwork\shipping\etc.
