Good question. I forgot to put why...I am purchasing an investment property with a friend of mine and I need to clear up some cash immediately.

Does this appear to be a fair price?

Oh, and yes, I do have all the original manuals, window sticker, etc...

And I won't take offense if you call it a garage queen, as I treat it like a show car.

Have you thought about financing a loan on the car and taking cash that way?

I was going to post some pictures, but I just figured that if someone was really interested in my car, then would just e-mail me ( wtmacr@hotmail.com ) and I would be more than happy to send about 20 pictures.

Otherwise, if I posted them on the board, I didn't want to waste space since I am looking for some opinons as opposed to trying to sell my car on the board.

Thanks for the input and support. If you know anyone looking for a solid deal on a mint car, send them my way!!

I think its a great deal and if it was a 6speed it would be gone in the 48 hours you want. Tips are a little softer than 6speeds. I was offered 118k for my x50 by a dealer putting my car back to stock. That was about three months ago which I think was a strong number. With a tip you are gonna have to find the right buyer. Call champion and do not tell them you modded the engine and see what they offer you.

Duane
Do you have the phone number/email for Champion?
Thx.
Would you consider/qualify a computer program, air filter, and exhaust engine mods or just performance mods?

Thx.

Uninstalling those mods shouldn't be a problem

I think the price is high. First off, mods are worth nothing to a wholesaler. Your only like is getting some enthusiast who really appreciates the car to jump on it. Second, the X50 brings little premium used, maybe $5k at most.

I sold my '03 6 speed TT with under 3k miles last summer for $104k. It had a list of $128k. I'm not sure what '02s are bringing now, but I'd guess in the low to mid $90s. Add a few thousand for X50.

ESK-
THanks for your input. Just for clarification...I am not a dealer and I am not trying to wholesale the car. If I did then I would just trade the car in to a dealer. I am not looking to do that. Anyone who is interested in boosting the performance of their car or are audio/video gurus woudl quickly realize that this is actually a bargain. I am not sure about the values you are quoting either. I know 2 friends who sold a 2002 X-50 and a 2003 X-50 for over $110k in the last few months. Not to mention that my sticker price was $12k and $18k respectivly above their sticker price. And then there is the mods......about $40k worth of goodies.

Btw- I do have an offer from a dealer who told me he was 'taking me to the cleaners' and gave me a very low price because I was not purchasing anything from him in return. He offered me $108k wholesale...

The way I see it is this car is perfect for someone who wants to save a bundle and get a very rare color loaded with optoins and upgraded performance and stereo systems.

Thanks again.
-W

02TurboX50,

I wish you the best in selling your car. By the description, it sounds like an awesome car.

I sold my basalt black 02' turbo (non-X50) w/ 8k miles, 6 speed and minimal options for $90k a couple of months ago. The car was in brand new condition. I wish I never sold it.

Personally, I would consider selling it to that dealer for $108k. That really is a good price from a dealer. If not, you might want to part out the aftermarket mods. You will definitely get more money at the end of the day. You should inquire to see how much they will give you without the mods.

Good luck!
