Great deal on 2002 X-50 Slate Grey....his loss is your gain!!

Well-
I accepted a deposit on my car, and the interested party was unable to finalize financing on his end. His loss is your gain as I am now able to lower the asking price for my car....

This is the same car as described when I listed it for sale a few days ago. However, now I only need $105k and the car is yours!!! Now I think this is a very aggressive price, so if you are interested let me know right away!

Send e-mails to wtmacr@hotmail.com

Here is the description again....

About $15K to $20K too high. Low mileage 2002s are bringing ~$85,000 at the auctions. Figure a $5K premium for the X50 package.

What exactly is the point of you post?? To make it so a fellow 6speed can't sell his car?? Buyers are big boys, they can decide for themselves what a car is worth...its not up to you. Also you are talking wholesale...last time I checked buyers on here are not dealerships or anyone else that would be considered wholesale... 02's are worth in the 90's, low miles with high options like this car is worth high 90's. Then you add in about 5-10K for the aftermarket parts and you are right around the price he is asking... The only thing that hurts the car a bit is the tiptronic, but if you find someone that wants it, then that is no longer a problem....
So please explain to me why you think he price is so far off again??

David-
Actually I originally sold the car for $112k in 48 hours a few days ago. Unfortunately the buyer was unable to get approval from his credit union. He is pursuing other avenues right now, and may be able to purchase it still later this week.

Not that I want to get into a debate, but I think you are off in your pricing too as several local dealers offered an outright purchase with the lowest offer being $100k...You mention auction prices....I didn't think this board was an auction, I thought it was just a classifed section. Auction cars bring the lowest prices out there. Many times cars come with no history, service history, reports, etc.. sort of a buyer beware environment. Yikes!!
Again, I am not trying to wholesale the car. I am trying to sell it retail. If someone likes the Tiptronic (which I think is great), and appreciates performance and audio upgrades, then this is a great deal! Doesn't take a genious to figure that out.

David-I think you are missing the spirit of this discussion board. 6speedonline is a support community for Porsche owners. I looked at your previous posts (your history: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...earchid=107036 ) and it seems like you love to put down Porsches and prices, etc.. Why all the negativity?

I have 2 friends that sold X-50s in the last couple months on Ebay (the lowest of the low priced buyers). They were both stock cars and both sold for more than $105k, so in comparison, I think mine represents a great value!

Thanks for your input though.

85K is absolutely ridiculous for that car. Seems to me like you are probably looking to buy a used TT and thus "talking down" the market price. Nice try.

105K for that TT is a steal. If it was a stick I would be very interested.

I just sold my car and purposely didn't post it here for that exact reason, too many pricing "experts" wanting to flame anyone looking to sell a car for more than trade-in or auction prices.

I'm not sure what the agenda is for these flamers, but they pop up on this site on a regular basis. It's unfortunate that sellers have to defend what mostly appear to be very reasonable prices because some know-it-all who's never even seen the car says it's way overpriced.

Since most of us aren't dealers offering trade-in values or buying at auctions, why not use real world prices as a benchmark? I guess that takes all the fun out of it...

I agree with Eva, in South Florida and Cali the turbo market is a lot stronger. I was offered 118k for my x50 from a dealer three months ago putting it back to stock.

There was also a remark on the X50 not being worth much on the car in question. My understanding is that the X50 package is a much better option on the Tiptronic than on the manual. The acceleration gains are much better with the Tip when compared to the manual X50.

I think that is a phenominal price on this car. It makes me wonder if it makes sense to buy it and sell my own! Probably would not make the wife happy, though. She wants a new Cayenne Turbo.

I think its a good price for an awesome car. If I could afford to trade up, I would do it in 2 seconds. Good luck. You'll have no problem finding someone who appreciates it.
