FS: LS1 swapped FD RX-7 - ONLY $13k!!

Selling for a friend, please email him at the listed address!!

Asking $13000
philip@whereyou.at
Located in Denver, CO

Due to a career change I need to sell the RX7

Engine swap has about 1500 miles on it
grannys mount kit, aluminum driveshaft
engine is a 2000 LS1/ T56 with about 60K
small cam, LS6 heads, LS6 intake, comp push rods and springs, new GM headgaskets
brand new LS7 clutch, new pilot bushing and front and rear seals, new powerbond underdrive pulley
JTR long tube ceramic 1-3/4" headers, 3" 2 into 1 mandrel bent stainless exhaust
JTR radiator mount
taurus fan wired through the ECM
no overheating or coolant leaks
Air Conditioning wired through ECM (it's a little overcharged)
power steering
turbo II rear diff swap with new solid bushings installed
JTR cold air intake
hinson clutch line and master
new leatherseats.com leather seats
new floor mats and trunk mat
all gauges work
car is a salvage title from what I can only assume is an engine fire based on the condition the bay was before I painted it, it's had a minor hit on the front left that was repaired who knows when, otherwise I see no other sign of damage
Car is in good shape, paint is fair, interior is good, most of the plastics are OK but I'd replace the panel under the steering columb, the tabs are busted.
Has an efini wheel, no airbag, horn works

car is silver w/black, I'm sure there's a ton of stuff I'm forgetting but will add later.

not my type of hype..."transgendered" car.

You want to drive a LS1 then buy a Corvette for god sake....you buy a RX7 for the ROTARY....sigh.

anyways...I apologize...consider this a free bump and GL with the sale!

Car should make ~400whp with that setup.

Nothing wrong with putting a great engine in a great chassis. Who cares whether it's piston or rotary or freakin nuclear powered.

unless you've driven one, the I'd wait to pass judgement. I thought it a little strange the first time I saw one, but this is the combo that GM/Mazda should have made instead of the cars they ended up with. light wieght, gobs of torgue, NA simplicity. I want one. But I've got too many toys...

These cars will eat corvettes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Good luck! I would love to own one.

Work on a Rotary, you'll be begging for an LS1.

it's about a 60 lb difference and supposedly gives 50/50 weight distribution

remember, LS1's are aluminum and only weigh about 450 lbs. You also get a much more reliable motor and something really cheap to mod! I love RX-7's and I love rotary motors, but after driving one with an LSX it was a very *****in' car. It was one of the reasons that I was pushed to getting the GTO, I was looking at an STi or Evo and then drove my buddies RX-7 and it made me go "hmmmmm"

Longblock vs longblock, the LS1 is slightly heavier than the 13b (~50lbs or so), but once you consider that you no longer need an intercooler, oil coolers (some FDs had 2 of them stock) and will be moving the 20-30lb battery from up front to the middle/rear of the car, you end up with killer weight distribution. Probably better than a stock TT 13b.
