I was told by the previous owner that there were some steering wheel noise issues.
When I bought the car I really did not care as the car is still under full factory warranty and BMW would have made sure that whatever the problem was has been fixed before releasing the car for sale again.
Also, the fact that the original owner had to file a law suit to force BMW to buy back the vehicle tells me that most likely the problem was minor, since if it was a real major issue, BMW would have taken back the car as a "courtesy" before the law suit(Courtesy buybacks do not show up in title).
Many times, owners will try to back out of a car using the lemon law to their benefit. Citing for example that a particular "problem" was not fixed within three attempts, or that a vehicle spent over a certain number of days in the shop within a certain time period.

Thanks! There aren't that many cars out there that can haul five people and keep up with most Porsches and Ferraris in the canyons. On the freeway, it will blow away many Porshces and Ferraris.
I go through cars pretty quickly, and I am just looking for something more narrowly focused at the moment.

With BMW you have to be the original owner in order to be able to buy the extended warranty from the factory. However, it is possible to get extended warranty from other companies and the Manufacturer Buyback status should have no bearing on this.
FWIW, car manufacturers do not typically buy back cars with "minor" issues as a courtesy. It is quite an ordeal to have a car qualify as a lemon, and it usually has to be due to a defect that compromises the safety of the vehicle. I'm not saying that this particular car has major issues, but I'd sure want to know EXACTLY what the real problems were and not assume that BMW was just being really generous because the steering wheel made some noise. It isn't just any problem that isn't fixed within 3 attempts - it has to be serious. Also, loaner cars void the number of days the car is in the shop from the equation, if I recall correctly. How is the title branded?

The title says the car is a buyback vehicle under the lemon law, as I have represented the car.
A car is a collection of interchangeable parts and as such, when the defective parts are replaced, they should be no different then any other car that came through the same assembly line.
Many times, dealer's inability to correctly address the problem in the first place and repeatedly doing so can build a case for lemon law.

Nice looking car and a good price. I miss mine. I've known cars to be bought back due more to the owner hiring an attorney than anything significant wrong with the car. Don't know what the case is with this car but seems like it's worth a look for sure. GLWS.
