I am the 3rd owner, bought it for the wife <30 Days ago but she just cannot get used to the SMG tranny (vs a regular automatic). Car has extended MAINTENANCE plan until Sept 2011.

Warranty has expired... Only has extended maintenance until 9-2011

SMG is covered if say clutch is worn-out, but NOT if SMG pump fails

BMW/Zurich is the best extended warranty to get if one wants one.

Feel free to make an offer... I am not easily offended - the low ballers usually start at $29K and $31K and tell me how that is all the money they have and that its their dying wish to own an M5


Needless to say, I won't accept those offers as the dealer has already offered me more.

i have been looking hard at the alpina B7 as of late, but seeing this is making me consider the M5.... you have a very clean car there. If i had sold my dd already i would be on this in a heartbeat. bad timing for me
