1955 Porsche 550 Spyder Reproduction

Reproduction from Thunder Ranch which is the same as the Beck reproduction.

Legally registered in CA with a SB100.

Car was first purchased in 2006 by the original owner who assembled the car and got it in working order. I purchased the car in February of 2010 and did the necessary "sorting" that is required with all reproduction cars. I ironed out all the quirks which including pulling the motor, replacing the clutch and pressure plate, repainting the car to get it perfect, changed the interior to fit my preferences and added all the "jewelry", correct reproduction emblems, lights, stripes, seats, pinstiping etc. Color combo was modeled after an original 550 that Jerry Seinfeld owns including the baby blue darts and seats. Carpet is light weight perlon, same that is used in vintage lightweight Porsche's (1973 Carrera RS etc). This Spyder has the best of everything one could want on a 550.

Any chances you could take a few detailed pics of the dash, engine, and maybe a pic of the front trunk? Also, I know this car isn't built for speed, but what would you say is its top speed? I am just wondering about cruising speed on a freeway.

 

I am away for the weekend, I can get some more pictures next week if you are interested. I've had the car at around 120, but at 110 it starts to get a little light.
