E46 M3 *FULL HISTORY* OEM Rare color! 6spd Manual~

Year: 2003
Make: BMW
Model: M3
Price: $15499
Mileage: 114847
Color: Carbon Black Metallic
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MD
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

Hi all! If you're going to invest in an e46 M3, better MAKE SURE you have the full history and a stack of maintenance receipts like this M3 has!

I am selling my 2003 E46 M3 w/ 6-speed manual - 106,xxx miles Clean Title. Carbon Black Metallic (very dark blue) w/ gray leather. This is a true sports car with the only the essential options: HK sound system, power seats, Xenon headlights, and the upgrade paint option.

The 1st owner in 2003 only had the car for roughly a year. I recently bought it from the 2nd owner (an older, mature car enthusiast) who had it for 11 years. This car was his baby! With that said, I have original window sticker & extensive service center receipts from only the most reputable shops! I'm in no rush to sell but only thinking about it since I just really need something with better gas mileage with the amount I've been driving for work lately.

I've had a few sports cars and this one is definitely a masterpiece. Only issues I can think is the TMPS malfunction light comes on every few days but it's false since tires hold air perfectly. Sunroof is broken. Some interior wearing on driver's seat and arm rests. A few blemishes on the exterior but paint is excellent and overall VERY good shape for it's age!

I love that BMW did not cut corners with the M3! Let me know if you have any questions . NO TRADES!

I bought the car just earlier this year but the previous owner (an older gentleman) had it for 12 years and religiously had it everything fixed that needed fixing by the top BMW shops. I called them when I got the car and they told me that there were never any issues discovered on the subframe. Not sure what you mean by VVTI - I think that's Toyota terminology.

The variable valve timing system in the BMW. Sorry for the Toyota terminology use. I believe there is a known issue and fix.

Hey so to address you both- I am in Bethesda, MD. And as for the Variable Valve timing or BMW Vanos, there are no problems with it. This was common on some e46 M3's but I this one has always had oil changes and other preventative maintenance done on time. Again, I have the records showing this.
Thank you

Nice looking M.

I own one as well.

Are you sure TPMS is the issue because I don't think they equipped the 03 with actual sensors (I'm sure I could be wrong). Mine is an 04 and the "sensor" is actually a rotation calculator in the DSC module from what I understand.

Try resetting the system properly. When mine first started doing it (I had changed the size of tires I was running) I just kept clearing it using the button on the lower console but wasn't actually resetting the module to take to the new tire size and pressure, which went on for weeks. This could be the same issue for you seeing the error keep coming back.

Give it a quick watch and see what happens, if it works that's one less issue to deal with.

If it doesn't work then you know there is actually an issue with the system.

Cheers
