The new wheel is way nicer, but this is going to be an expensive proposition. $599 for the adapter, probably $2000 for the new style wheel and then whatever a shop/dealer is going to charge to perform the swap and install the new coding. All told I'm sure it's a $3000+ upgrade which is a little tough to swallow just to get paddles and multi-function combined

The thing i want to know is, in the Multi Function display in the pic above, where the boost gauge is, there is a little pic of a turbo. On my car, there is no pic of a turbo. Its just blank, with a boost bar graph/ gauge. How do i get the little pic of the turbo. Looks cool.

Other question is, how do you get the picture of the speed limit in the display too. Thats pretty cool.

Thanks

To that price from Suncoast, you would have to add an airbag.

Before and After...What color top center band would you prefer if it were you?

My 2014 came like the picture above. I got this red one below as a gift. To make this work, I had to order the adapter kit from Paul Li. Thank you Paul.

To keep the heated function, I have to replace this little surface mount resistor.

Red is nice, but my interior is black. I have to do something about it. Oh well, since it's a e-Hybrid, might as well go green.

After hours of struggle, here is the final product. Now that I am a pro, I am available to do the install for anyone who are interested in the U.S. Please PM Paul or myself. If you are in Atlanta, I can even do the complete job for you.

I redid it three times. First time, took me 12 hours, last time took 4 hours. I think I did it too fast and it's only 90% perfect. I plan to redo it again to get it to 100%. I know it will take 5 hours. This does not include taking all the parts off the steering to expose the skeletons, measure exact location for the center mark, and reassemble it. Those should take about 1 to 1.5 hours total.

I think this part was the hardest part of all. Need a lot of measuring, a lot of patience, and put blisters on my fingers.

The second hardest of this project was the heated steering control switch. Replacing the surface mount resistor by hand is very very tricky. I thought it's impossible by hand, and I hesitated. I have not soldered for a few years, so I took it to a local electronics shop to ask them to do it, and they said they would likely burn the neighboring components. They said they will let me use their equipment. I looked and their "professional equipment" was not even remotely as good as mine. Thanks to a lot, a whole lot of encouragement from Paul. I am still excellent in soldering.

Another successful retrofit, using the GPS adapter. This time on friend's 2016 Panamera, with heated steering wheel. Everything works of course.

Again, service from the GPS guys was exemplary.
