2002 Carrara White 996 Turbo X50 w/ RUF RTurbo Mods

For sale is my 2002 996 Turbo in Carrara White over Natural Brown Leather. It has been tastefully modified using mainly OE Porsche or OE RUF parts, so the fit and finish is as expected.

-47,xxx miles
-6MT
-Clean CarFax
-4th owner
-No accident history
-No 2nd gear pop out
-2 keys, original tool kit, and books included. All service records

List of modifications and factory build sheet below showing VIN, MSRP, and factory options:

Exterior

• RUF RTurbo Front Aero conversion w/ ducting – Vented like the GT2 aero. All the correct ducting is in place for the bumper to be fully functional. This is OE RUF so it is plastic and is not your typical fiberglass aftermarket bumper.
• RUF Side view Sport Mirrors – OE RUF, these are the same mirrors that were used on the light blue Nardo RTurbo test car. As well as the “Yellowbird” RTurbo Nurburgring video. Hardly ever seen outside of RUF vin’d cars.
• TechArt Type 1 Carbon spoiler – Stock Porsche wing blade is included. I prefer the look of this spoiler in the down position, so the stock harness is unplugged.
• XPEL front end clear film – Professionally installed XPEL film covers the front bumper, hood, front fenders, and headlights.
• Lower Side Skirts and lower rear bumper trim painted Carrara White
• Euro Rear Bumper – No US spec bumperettes.
• Rear Wiper Delete – Stock rear wiper is included.
• RUF RTurbo badge – This is not an easy item to find.

Interior

• RUF Natural Brown Leather Steering Wheel - Special order in Natural Brown leather by RUF Germany. Horn is functional as well as airbag.
• RUF Natural Brown Leather Shift **** and Boot – Also special order in Natural Brown leather by RUF Germany. Great shifter feel.
• Natural Brown Leather Sport Seats w/ Carrara White seat backs – Professionally reupholstered by Classic9 Leather Shop. These are perfect.
• Painted Center Console Carrara White
• 35% Window Tint Ceramic F1
• RUF floor mats w/ white RUF logo
• RUF aluminum pedal set incl. dead pedal
• 997 Shifter

Engine

• RUF RTurbo Muffler Kit with Sports catalytic converters - The RUF Sport muffler uses 100 cell high flow cats. It makes great power and has very little to no drone. This is usually impossible for these cars. The quad tips are a signature RUF look and I think they are the best looking tips for the car.
• Bailey Diverter Valves
• Smooth Fhose
• 911 Tuning/Markski Custom tune for X50 - https://www.markskituning.com/produc...-turbo-tuning/

Suspension

• Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers w/ TRG links
• 996 GT3 Adjustable Sway Bars

Brakes

• 996 GT3 Porsche PCCB Big yellows
• 997 350mm Steel Front Rotors –Sebro Germany
• 997 350mm Steel Rear Rotors –Sebro Germany
• 996 GT3 Front brake ducts

Wheels/Tires

• 19" Champion RS184 – Very lightweight, expensive, and a timeless 5 spoke design. The fronts are 17lbs, rears 19 lbs. These have a similar look to the OE RUF 5 spokes but these are a forged monolite and much lighter.
• RUF Center Caps – Custom made to fit the Champion wheels.
• Michelin Pilot Super Sport – The only tires I ever buy.

There has been no expense spared into making this car look brand new. It was a CPO until 2016 and has paperwork showing a detailed service history by Porsche exclusively. This car has always been well cared for by previous owners and it shows. The paint is in excellent condition thanks to the XPEL clear film that has been recently applied. The interior is in new condition with little to no wear at all. It still has the new car rich leather smell.

I purchased the car in January of this year from 911-AL. He has built 3 other 996 Turbo RUF inspired builds: A PTS Buggati Blue, PTS Minerva Blue, and my Carrara White. He modifies these cars to near perfection using parts from German manufactuer RUF. After purchasing, I had done some more modifications to complete the car including the new GT3 brakes w/ 350mm rotors and pads, RUF RTurbo Exhaust, RUF steering wheel, RUF shift ****, RUF Floormats, and TechArt rear wing. These $10k worth of modifications have been installed within the last 2,000 miles.

On top of the RUF modifications the car has some desirable options from the factory including the X50 power kit w/ twin K24's, full leather interior (inc. speaker grills, vent slats, upper dash, etc.), and hard back sport seats in exterior body color.

The car is a rocket and is still one of the best values out there. I am confident it is one of the nicest 996 Turbos you will come across.

I currently have a small lein on the car through PenFed Credit Union. The buyer can either write a check for the payoff to Penfed and one to me for the remaining balance. Or they can write one to me and I will pay the car off and send you the title.

If you are seriously interested send me a PM. No brokers please.

Located in the Chicago land area.

$68,000

Every time I see this one go up for sale I think the same thing - I love how those painted seats look in there.

I wanted to give the option of parting out the Champion wheels to knock some $$ off the price...

$64,500 + bring your own wheels.

Thank you

I thought a helpful addition to the FS post was a copy of the PPI results from when I purchased the car. I had the PPI performed at Joe Rizza Porsche in Orland Park, IL. The PPI was done in January about 2,000 miles ago.

A couple things to note on the PPI... The paintwork refers to the front (RUF) and rear (Euro spec) bumpers. Since the PPI the brakes have been completely refreshed with new calipers, rotors, pads, and fluid. The limit switch they mentioned for the passenger window I found is functioning correctly. I have not noticed any scratches on the roof trim. Marker bulbs were replaced, oil service has been performed and topped off. All 3 radiator screens are now installed as shown in the photos. The wheel bolt has also been replaced with the correct bolt. See below:

Price without TechArt wing = $66,500
Price without RUF exhaust (stock exhaust fitted) = $64,500
Bring your own wheels/tires price = $63,500

I've gotten a few requests for videos so I thought I would post them up for all.

The first one is at idle and revs to 3k with the RUF exhaust. The 2nd one is a walk around video. The 3rd video is from the interior of the exhaust. The car wasn't warmed up fully so the revs are only to 3k. But you can get an idea of the noise level from the exhaust inside the cabin. Which is on the mellow side.
