I purchased this 996 Turbo in 2013 from a fellow Porsche enthusiast with 80,000 mostly highway miles. I have put about 7,000 miles on it in 4 years, driving it on short local runs on the weekends. Selling because my job travel is increasing and I have less time to enjoy it. No accidents, clean title and Carfax. It is a blast to drive as it is converted to rear wheel drive with 520 HP to the wheels. Sounds mean with an X-pipe exhaust and revs very quick with the lightweight flywheel. There are some rock chips and small scratches, however nothing that detracts from the car. The car is located in San Antonio, TX. 87,250 miles. Asking $38,900.

Clean! Do they not sniff exhaust in TX- do you have cats if needed? Just window shopping here- have already had two of these cars and keep looking at them! GLWS should be quick at your asking price with tasteful mods.

 

No emissions in my county and looks like about half the states in the US. I don't have the cats.

Nice car I'm I. The market. Has the car seen any track time , do you have DME report or any maintenance records and do you have any of the oem parts that have been replaced ie. hood differential driveshaft etc. thanks and GLWS

 

No track time. I do the basic maintenance myself, oil changes, coolant change etc. I have the receipts. I take it to a local indy (Jones Autowerks) for everything else. They did the Sachs 2.5 clutch replacement, fixed an A/C relay switch, changed / flushed brake fluid.

When I purchased the car in May 2013 with 80,000 miles the DME report showed range 1: 65535 / 2565h, range 2: 8680 / 2565h. Today range 1 is unchanged at 65535 / 2757h and range 2 is 9152 /2757h. I have a Durametric that will come with the car.

I have the OEM hood and and rear spoiler, I do not have the front diff / driveshaft, it was converted to RWD when I bought it.

Paid for car and transporter. While transporter was en route to pick car up I dug up a lot of info on car.
Car has verifiable mileage issue.
Car went for over 40k miles on 3 oil changes by Previous owner.

Instrument cluster was replaced which includes odometer. Mileage is unknown, but is high no doubt as it had more miles than this back in 2009.
Carfax is clean, but that means nothing here
Lot of other info, but I’m not here to landblast a sale, just being factual and informative. Yes I have proof, but it doesn’t need to be spread abroad here.
Paid cancellation fees on transporter and buyer didn’t want to cover those either, bummer for me but I am happy to pay money to not buy the car at this point.

That’s weird....few hours Ago today on the phone it was still up for sale. This car isn’t sold, it’s going to go dark for awhile but it will be back somewhere. I suppose we shall see this car come back up on the market again somewhere else. When it does, I hope the info on the car is updated.
