Lease

Never took over a lease before. What is involved in it? Or what would I have to pay, just the monthly payment?

BMW charges a $500 lease transfer fee. Not sure whether the seller is expecting the buyer or seller to pay that. He then states there are $8,050 in security deposits which means he put those down to reduce the lease payment and they are returned by BMW at the end of the lease. Not sure if he's asking for all those back or not. Then you pay the monthly payment plus tax in your state. He's included his total payment with tax which since it's in CA, means yours would likely be slightly lower since CA tax rate is so high.

Thanks for answering cthroson's questions Ro Ja Boy. This is the first time I am trying to transfer out of a lease so I am not 100% familiar with all the steps either. I have read that you also need to pass the credit check with BMW. You would then be making the payments to BMW as the lease is officially transferred to you. I am open to offers. I am willing to give up a portion of the security deposit in interest of getting someone to take over the lease.
