997 Turbo Engine Failure

Anyone has SillyRabbits Motorsports Connecting Rods on his build? According to Sean they hold up to 300hp. I appretiate any feedback as im in the middle of a build. The good thing about these is you dont have to trim the Oil pump.

The whole story in few pictures.

I bent my rods and cracked my liners as well a few years ago.
Only 2 options imho for peace of mind, Pauter or Carrillo.
I went with Carrillo.

I've had some work done by Sean @ SRM and have been to the shop in Las Vegas. He has the talent and machinery to build anything he wants. I'd bet his rods are good, though I don't know if they are battle tested. They look like a bit thicker Carillo rods with Pauter rod caps, it looks like he used their designs. Evospec has their own custom rod but they might only be available with their engine builds. I run the Pauters on a modest build. If you go Carillo trimming down the oil pump is not a big deal. I've heard good things about Arrow rods as well. Good luck with your choice.

You'd be crazy to not use a know brand like Pauter or Carrillo on an expensive build like this.

I was about to install them but my Mechanic refused. He told me to return them and return the sleeves. The supplier will only accept to return them if i return the whole kit i bought from him. There are few parts i need in that kit, such as the used crank shaft and the gaskets kit. So i decided i would use these to build a tea table and buy Carrillos and Darton sleeves.

The car made 757whp on 26psi i believe.
This happened on 38psi. After all i guess having the boost controller near my hands was not a good idea.

I think SRM uses LA sleeves, those are proven to be good. You could sell them on here I along with the rods. These are simple parts, I'd bet they are good. The off the shelf rods are good for 1200 hp for 10k to 20k miles before they let go, thus the need for a better rod. I'd like to see someone really push them to prove their ability.

Yes the sleeves are LA sleeves, Im not judging Sillyrabbits or saying that they are not good. Its just that i couldnt find real life data about the rods. And i think this is a risk none of us would take
