Darren, sorry but I must say the description in the EBay ad is misleading.

You can't call Detailer's car a RUF Turbo when

a) it is not a RUF VIN# car

b) even worse, he is using GIAC Stage 4 -- this is like an insult to Ruf.

I never understood why anyone would do a full Ruf optik package and go to Stage 4 for engine tuning when Ruf's package is better, but to each his own. Maybe it was cost.

have you seen the dyno graphs from KPV's level 4 and Sean's Ruf 550??? they are OVERLAPPING!! considering mods are sunk money anyway why pay the ruf premium when you can get the same thing through GIAC tuners?? I know many will say support, warranty, etc..but from my experience with Imagine Auto the service has been excellent (even after sale) and as for warranty I had an X50 to begin and have the chipsitch so I have my factory warranty
Please no flames or start another tuner bashing battle - just giving my 2 cents...Besides Tyson, I consider you a buddy since we met in Beantown

Mansour, I will always consider you a friend, especially after that wild night out with your friends in Beantown. Besides, you went to boarding school with my friends Philip and Nicholas, so it's like we have a lot in common.

I just think that if you are going to do all that Ruf stuff on your car, you might as well make it complete. I believe where Ruf is superior to many others is in the refinement and drivability of their systems. The power delivery of the car is just like stock, except with more power.

Though GIAC provides the power, I think where they are a bit behind is in the overall refinement of the system.

I can see why you chose Imagine to do your car, as Stephen is a really nice guy and provides great support to his customers. Looking back, I just wish you would have given Protomotive or Wilber a chance to make your car into a beast.

I'll tell you one thing tyson that gets my goat a little is promotive always being touted over here with zero support from them for this site - not even offering to host a drive or a day at the shop for everyone to meete and greet - nada - just gloating - and to add insult to injury advertising in excllence about the shootout with all our members cars and giving zero credit to the forum that was the springboard for the shootout -
