I am interested in knowing who the moderators are these days, anyone know who they are?

absolutely not.

 

I know of a few owners of Vbulletin forums who have told me that they can assign moderators PM viewing, that is why I mentioned it, so I know it can be done if the forum owner/supermod, gives the access.

 

I am sure it's not impossible to do but 100% for sure no moderators can read PM's. I am an administrator and I cannot either.

 

Yes, it technically is possible if you enable such a feature, however we do not enable it on our forums for privacy reasons.

 

Ok, I'll take your words on it. I think we can all see how making a sponsor, a moderator with such powers would be a conflict of interest.

 

Seems like a few "super moderators" are vendors here- not to start anything (and I'm friends with a couple of them) but seems like a conflict of interest. I have had a few offline conversations as there was concern with reading (and reacting to) private comments as it wasn't in the moderator/vendors best interest. Again, not accusing anyone of anything just conversation of observations and concerns.

I might add - if anyone even had time to read PM's apart from their own, anywhere... I have some voice messages and e-mails that I can forward them to deal with if they have that much time on their hands
