funny you say that. On my blk/blk/blk tinted windows 5, I seriously was all set on getting just the spokes on 18in M parrell wheels with polished lip painted black, till I went to LA twice this summer. Yep, that changed my mind too, it looks good randomly, but overkilled in LA and in my mind now.

 

i fing hate that look! guetto!!!!!!

 

i did the blk on blk look 6 years ago and everyone laughed at me!

 

Now you see why I'm thinking twice about black wheels on my Cayman.

Thats why i live in Sadsburyville, PA where the only other vehicles with black wheels are Horse & buggys (im not kidding btw)

okay, we are a bit slower on trends up here in seattle, but i love the black on black look. it's not over done here (yet). i love the 996's and 997's with the black rims. up here, the chrome is more of the ghetto look. hyper silver is in and black is popping up, but mostly on p-cars. not range rovers or bmw's.

 

same here, now all my friends are doing it I've ALWAYS hated black w/ a polished lip. It's either all black or no black for me.



I'm going Gold on my next set of wheels I'm actually thinking Gold w/ a color matched lip, would be completely different
