Autosport International in Irvine (who are they?)

Has anybody heard anything about this dealership (good or bad)? They have a specific 2003 C2 I'm interested in, but the deal sounds too good to be true.

They used to be called auto haus west, I had bought a car from them about 1 year ago. Got a nice car and I paid a fair price.
I had been back a few months ago when it was this new name,
with the auto haus west 2 doors down. the sales guy had some story about why... some drama with one of the partners. whatever... they do have some nice cars...

i think hergesheimer is right down the street, i dont know if they do PPIs, but it would be convenient.

Thanks! I've been eyeing a 2003 C2 w/ 44,000 miles and they have it listed for only $33K PPI is definitely a must.

Ditto! Auto Haus West. They do specialize in Porsche. Business is being around a while. Hergesheimer is a very good Porsche shop. Yes, they do PPI. Ask for Mark, Linda (owners) or Eric (son). Both companies are 15 min. from my home. Go there to test drive, visual inspection and arrange for PPI. GL!

Hergesheimer is an excellent shop and they really know these cars. However, please note that the owners are Mark and Laura, not Mark and Linda.

BTW - I'm taking my 2008 into their shop on Thursday for a simple oil and filter change now that I've finally gotten through the dreaded 2,000 mile break in period.

Bought my 996 from them years ago but it is long sold now. Make sure to get a PPI on the car. They won't tell you what is wrong with the car, you will have to find out yourself.

Sorry guys, another stupid question. How does one go about with the PPI process? Does the dealership have to take the vehicle to Hergesheimer or will Hergeshimer go to the dealership for inspection?

Thanks in advance for any info,

Jay

Beware of Autohaus West/ Autosport International - they're basically the Sports Trend Auto of Orange County and when I say that I mean they sell suspect cars...DEFINITELY GET A PPI.

Jay,

You arrange with the dealer to have the car drive over to Hergesheimer. Also, call Mark or Laura for an apt. Typical price is around $275-$350. Make sure tell them that you want full inspection of engine, suspension, brake syst., exterior/interior, and the most important subframe for any previous damage.
