+1 for Auto Gallery (and Don) for dealer work

For indy shop I've always used Speed Gallery (Dan) and never had a problem. In fact, my expectation has been exceeded each visit. I can't remember her name but VERY HOT receptionist takes the pain out of paying for service.

Callas Rennsport in Torrance.
These guys have race team experience with wins at 24hr Daytona and 24hr Le Mans. Everything from oil change & brakes to complete motor rebuild. Porsche certified warranty work also.

Anybody have any suggestions? Someone backed into my Boxster in a Gelson's parking lot while I was inside the store on the day before Christmas. Didn't leave a note. Nice gift...

I bought my car from Auto Gallery and when the first year service was due, I called the service departments and asked for the price. I was quoted like $250. I called a few dealer and asked for prices. It ranges from $300 to $600. So I think great, even though its a little far from my place.

But when I reached there, the guy said $250 was only for an oil change and service would be around $700. I was shocked and felt lied to. But I did the oil change anyway as I would be quite busy for the next few weeks. The loaner was a Corolla and even for that, I was charged $25.

Personally, I wouldnt go back there again or even called them. Perhaps, I should have known as the prices they quoted are a little low.

This thread topic always amazes me. So many times, some people have great experiences and others have nightmares to report about the same dealer or independent shop.
