Track time
Track time
What is the easiest way to get started in tracking my 997. I've been interested in this for quite some time and just not sure how to get started. All I've read and heard from track guys is how much more they enjoy their Porsche once they track it. With the roads in CA - you just can't speed safely so you rarely push your car anywhere close to the limit. I've looked at PCA Orange County and some other clubs, but want to talk to people who have first hand knowledge and how they got started.
Thanks

Went to OCRC this past July and had a great time. If you are an Indy car fan from the 80's to 90's Roberto Guerrero is an instructor for OCRC, which I was lucky enough to have him for our run group.
It is run by Simon at Evosport, great guy and he came out here to the San Fernando Valley this past weekend to do some canyon runs with some of us here on the 6.
Have not been to a Speed Ventures event yet. But they have a 2 day event this month on the 10th and 11th at Willow Springs, which I plan on attending. Check them out too. http://www.speedventures.com/
Have fun and be safe.
