San Diego: anyone with a 996 that has a short shifter?
San Diego: anyone with a 996 that has a short shifter?
I'm looking into a short shifter for my 2004 C2 and I'd like to see if there's anyone who'd be willing to let me "feel" theirs out? When I did my old BMW it came out really notchy and was often hard to engage first. BUT, the 996 feels like I'm rowing a boat when I shift so I'm anxious to change that.
Anyone willing to give a new owner a hand?

I do have the 997 SSK in my 996 turbo-S. And before that I had the EVOMS short-shifter (similar to B&M). I much prefer the 997 SSK, although somewhat pricey.
We live in north county/15. Let me know if interested.

I'd actually like to try this shifter myself. I'm thinking about getting one.
Maybe we could meet up thursday at the meet?

Long time man, I am sorry but I won't be here this Thursday thru next Monday. We are planning to go to HRE open house in Vista on Saturday 31st (I think), I be happy to let you try her.

Definitely in need of one. Stock is the longest throw of anything I've driven.
I've driven a Boxster with a B&M and it was super short. And my C4S had a factory short shifter which was perfect.
