Question Can 1" drop with 2.9 degree camber be aligned???

Thumbs up to Fast Forward wheel shop in Monterey Park for good customer service and taking good care of a fellow P-car owner. They gave me confidence in their work and was considerate of my busy schedule.

The only question is with a 1" drop can the rear negative camber get any better than 2.4/2.9 degrees?!?! Factory specs recommend 1.5 degrees. They took the car at Norwalk Porsche dealer to get it aligned after the drop.

Anyone experience this problem? or is it necessary to get a camber kit for the rear just for a 1" drop?

The factory eccentrics do not allow you to get back to factory camber specs with a one inch drop at the rear. You'll also have too much toe in. Camber kit for the rear end consist of adjustable upper control arms (dog bones) and adjustable toe links. You may also need adjustable drop links.

I tried it without the adjustable upper links and the best I could get was -2.5 degrees with just the factory eccentrics. While the dog bones look like they are a bit radical for the street, this is simply not the case. Yes they stiffen thing up alot, but they are not noisy nor do they make the ride any more harsh than just putting on PSS10's or the X73 package. The added bonus (beside substantial adjustability) is no unexpected rear end step out as you load the back end up in turns. If you're in OC go talk to GMC.

My buddy, also a fellow 6speed member (KeithTa) here was able to align his rear on OEM camber links to -1.5 deg camber (factory spec) dropped much lower than 1". Apparently his able to get to factory specs where as i mine was not able to be aligned any better than -2.9 deg!!!

So was my car not aligned properly by Fast Forward wheels?
