Has anyone been to the LA Auto show yet? I wanted to go Sat night but the rain killed it for me. If so i wonder if there were any booths (Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari) worth checking out?

I went on Sunday.

Porsche was there and showed their 3 (three) new cars (911 Speedster, 911 GTS and Cayman R.) You were even able to go right up to the cars, and TOUCH.

Ferrari and Lamborghini were no shows.

The best display was Lotus!

 

I think im going thursday ... Nothing crazy though from what i hear.

 

Oh i was looking forward to a good Porsche display and see the GT2 RS in person or even the GT3R hybrid. Not even Lamborghini or Ferrari? Was also hoping to see the new Lambo Sesto Elemento. If any arent there then its not worth the trip then.

 

The GT2 and the GT3 Hybrid Race Car were on display.

Overall the show was a disappointment. I guess when the economy is crap they don't bother putting as much effort into auto shows. Shouldn't it be the opposite to get people excited about stuff? I suppose on the other side of the coin Ferrari probably isn't having any trouble selling 458 Italias to people, so there's not much reason to go to the show anymore if they are cutting back on spending.
