I'm interested in setting up a run for P cars on 8/21/11 at 6:30am out of San Fernando Valley (Woodland Hills, to be exact) for our Porsche cars.

Anyone out there interested?

Unfortunately, this will not be a cruise but rather, a spirited run

There are many options on locales based on the wishes of the group but first off, who's down?

I am in Calabasas. I could probably join you for a run. But on Sundays, you have to make it very early, like 7 am to avoid potential issues.

Possibly but I remember you from meeting you at the overlook on Mulholland.

How's the GT3 running?

 

Yes, we also met a couple of times at the lookout place. The Gt3 is running well and I am very happy with the car. Most likely I will keep her till the next 991 based GT3 comes out.

How's the Turbo compared to the GTR?

 

Not wanting to hijack this thread, it's best I tell you in person.

Considering the cars are similarly spec'ed, they are night and day. Relatively speaking, the Turbo S is much faster than the GT-R. Turbo response is also much better and you can really feel the 516 torque as power is avail anywhere and everywhere you need it. With only 5k miles on the car, I'm still getting acclimated to the handling. At this early point, I'm still getting used to the rear engine weight distribution. But one thing the 911 has over the GT-R is driving satisfaction. The 911 is a hands down better driving experience than the GT-R. And don't even get me started on the dreadful ownership experience. Porsche annihilates Nissan there too.

Even though 8/21 is fine, what do you think about a drive this Sunday too. Perhaps we can do a small gathering this Sunday, and also do the 8/21 drive.

You got me itching for a group drive! I think it has been over a year since I have been on one.
