Tom I am on Rennsouth and ClubBimmer.com as well -those sites are pretty cool and have lists of events.

Are you going to the PCA Concours at Jim Ellis Sunday morning?

Hi Tom, were you able to make it to the PCA Concours? I went for a short time, then hauled butt over to the BMWCCA Autocross, then over to the ClubBimmer.com dinner and gathering. It was an AWESOME car event weekend.

Hey Tom,

There is a Peachstate PCA DE at Road Atlanta this weekend (10/27-28). I'll be instructing in my Mitsubishi Evolution IX since my 934 replica is still a bare metal tub. Come on up and spectate if you want, unfortunately it is full this weekend. You can find more information at www.peachstatepca.org. My car is silver and I will be running in Group 5 #002...whippin up on the P-Cars with 481AWHP!

Tom........I know that this weekend (Saturday 11am-3pm) Flashback in Cumming is having an event, then there will be a Mt drive @ 9am on Sunday leaving from the Chevron at end-of-400.

Unfortunately there seems to be no single site that does a great job with the Porsche community. I'll usually scoot between FChat, Rennsouth, and the Lotus forums to see what they have going on.

There is also, every 3rd Saturday, 4pm till dark(er) in Johns Creek @ Giovannis a very nice car show. Mostly Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborgini, Lotus, Cobras........I swap between the C4S and Pantera for that one.

Hey Cleve - Remember me? So you went from your GT2 to an Evo? Well, how does it compare?

Believe it or not, I was turning similar times at Road Atlanta in the Evo IX (approximately 1:35's according to Hank Cohn who was running with me in the instructor group and had a Traqmate in his track prepared 996 GT3)! I think I was a little more willing to drive it on the ragged edge compared to the GT2...which would have been a little more expensive to crash. The Evo is the BEST bang for the buck and a ton of fun...ask Al Norton, he went out with me for several laps.

2006 Evo IX: $30,000
AMS 50 Trim Turbo Kit used: $3400
AMS Intercooler and Piping: $650
GSC Stage 1 Cams: $600
ARP Headstuds: $200
ACT HD Street Clutch: $525
Cobb Exhaust: $625
Megan Track Coilovers w/ Camber Plates: $875
Whiteline Roll-Center Correction Kit: $265
Performance Friction Rotors (stock diameter): $650
Performance Friction PF-01 Pads front: $275
AMS Brake Ducting Kit used: $250
Stainless Brake Lines: $160
Castrol SRF Brake Fluid: $75
Redline Fluids in Trans, TC, Rear end: $50
BF Goodrich R1 255/40-17: $1100
Tuning @ Topspeed: $300 MS109 Unleaded 481 AWHP, 93 Pump 401 AWHP
Alignment: $125 (-4 Camber 0 Toe Front, -1.5 Camber 0 Toe Rear)

1:35s in the Evo.... that is nuts.

I believe I was turning 1:42s in the yellow Z06 in the same run group as you, when you were running 1:35s in the GT2.

When are you going next? I would love to get a ride.

Tom,

I am gonna try and make the last Panoz event which is at the beginning of December. The car is so easy to drive, but I was surprised to that I was going that fast, Hank Cohn and I had a great time playing chase and he was driving a track prepared 996 GT3 and he is a Professional driver!

Where exactly is Giovannis in Jonhs Creek? Sounds familiar, but I can't place it.

For reference, I'm at Jones Bridge and Old Alabama.
