Hey Wankel, I'm not sure where you're located in NO, but if you take the causeway bridge either at the end or beginning of the day, you will have also traveled on the longest continuous bridge over water in the world per Wiki. Two world class bridges in one day. I also like to eat at "Friends" restaurant in Madisonville on the river. Depending on how long a day you want to make it, you can drive some of river road past some plantations, but at some point you need to get off or it will take you forever due to all the Mississippi river bends. And BTW, you're right about Satterfields food. I was wondering why we're usually the only people there! But the lake view is nice.

 

Is this still taking place on the 28th? May or may not be able to go. I'm allowed two car-related events per month.

 

I believe one is in the works for Sept. 3rd

 

I'm out for this weekend. I started taking my car apart and will not have it together by then.

Keep me posted about new drives, the Boxster should be up and running by next weekend, fingers crossed....

 

Just spoke to Vinnie and since several people will be out over Labor Day weekend, the Sept 3rd drive is being postponed. Stay tuned for the reschedule.
