Exclamation About Ceramic Brakes

Hello to all members,

i am new here and wanted to get some advice about my problem.

The problem is, i have a little damage on my ceramic brake disc.

I heard that it can be very dangerous but some says that, if its not bigger then max. damage size you dont have to worry about it.

Here are the pics of my disc and would like to get some advice about it ;

Are these rotors used or new?? It does not look too big, but I would be careful, the rotors look like they have some small cracks in the surface already.

If those are new, they should not have those cracks in them, those are from heat and wear, which are normal for used rotors, but not new ones. If that chip happened during shipping, I would send them back and ask for a new set.

If you track often I would switch to steel rotors IMO.

The rotor looks perfect and intact, they have those little "marks" on them new. Each and every single one of my cars is fitted with ceramic brakes and they have that. That scuff on the bottom doesn't look too bad. I would still get it checked though!

Best,
YH
