Btw, if I decide to drive onto 2x4s (instead of getting a low profile jack), I should put wood under both tires in the axle, not just the tire I'm changing? Thx.

I got a racing jack from Harbor Freight for about $70 with coupon. It was low enough to slide right under w/o having to use any 2x6's.

bigwong is on a distinguished road
If you do use a 2X6 or something similar, cut it at an angle, sort of like a mini ramp. This will eliminate the chance of kicking up when driving on.
Kind of like this /======\======/

I used 2x4 on my cars (lowered) - only put it under the side you want to jack up - never had any issues.

Thx, but I already changed to a low profile jack (my post above yours).
