PCM Connector Diagram

Here is the diagram for the PCM connector. If you take A3 to ground which most mute functions do it will cause the PCM to think a phone call is incoming and mute the audio. I used it with my Escort 9500ci installation and it works great.

Here is a small cable available from Audi or Volkswagen (not Porsche go figure) that can be cut in half and soldiered to the the end of your devices cable that provides ground for mute.

I have looked but cannot find the detailed PCM removal process. It is well documented here and on Renntech and a few others. You remove the side leather covers from either side of the console by removing a single screw buried in the carpet at the back of the panel. Pull the screw then pull the entire panel toward the rear of the car. Once you have those side panels off you locate four torks screws at the top and bottom of each side of the PCM. Once you have those four turned the entire PCM unit slides out of the central console. I know my words won't do so you will have to search for PCM Removal on a few of the sites. I have to go west for the week but will see if I can find the links you need and forward. It sounds complicated but it is really easy if you see the pictures.

I wish I was more help but I can't find the correct links.
