How To Post Pictures
I would like if someone here would be kind enough to take the time and do a FULL step-by-step writeup on exactly how to post pictures...This should include both uploading pics here or posting from a sperate pic host...Also should include the vb code used (put "" around certain terms to avoid making it an actual post) and any special instructions.
We can put this thread in the tech/how to forum for future reference.
I know it has been discussed before but I for one still do not know exactly how.
TIA

Uploading pix to this site is really not an option now because the allowable file size is too small, so the only viable alternative is to host your pictures on another site, and include a link in your post. Hopefully this will change once they get the new servers up and running.
You do this (either with a new post or responding to a post) by finding the pic you want to include in your post on the site that you have for hosting (pic file urls usually must end in .jpg, .gif, .bmp or .jpeg), highlight the url and copy, then click on the IMG button above where you type your text on this site when you post, copy the url of the pic, and click OK.
What this does is take the url and put "" after it. You can also just manually type "" after it. (Ignore the " signs in the previous sentence). Then the pic will appear in your post.
Here's a pic below--if you right click on it and click on properties, you'll see the url where it's hosted:

Don't most ISPs give free web space as part of the service? The last three providers I've had all provided 10MB of web space (per email addy) as part of the standard deal. You might already have web space and just not realize it...
