Neo iPod Adaptor

Looking for a clean way to connect my iPod to my aftermarket Blaupunkt (6 CD changer, installed by the previous owner). Been reading up on the Neo iPod adaptor which seems perfect, but didn't know if anyone's had experience. Thinking of plugging the adaptor into the input jack on the back of the radio and then wiring the connector into the ashtray for a "clean, out of the way" look.

Thoughts? Comments? Epiphanies??? I'm ALL ears!!!

Thanks,

DAVID

PS
I do have the stock radio (my car's a 993TT), but connecting via a front-loaded cassette adaptor just doesn't seem to best meet my needs.
