What was he in a Cayenne? That would have made my car feel like a blender... not to mention spin like one.

that's funny I came across this thread because, today i was at poconos running with pda and in my group was this guy in a 355 f-car and I saw the tire and told him it was very corded and his reply was "yea I know" ok so our group goes out next and the idiot in the f-car ends up in the wall and parts all over the place! just goes to show you money can't buy common sense!

At the PCA race @ Mid-Ohio this year, a fellow racer running a 996 GT3 in B stock had over 20 heat cycles in his tires! Amazing, $90k plus car endangered for a $1000 set of tires. Maybe these tires came of his car after the 50th heat cycle!

hey adrian soon as i saw the tire pic i thought it was the f-guys tire.you should be running the tech line great call on that guys tire. i still can't belive that after you showed him it was corded the jerk still takes it back out.than a pda offical came over and inspected the tire and said in his opinion that the tire was corded befor he went out onto the track. and he said he was suppose to go with him next week to the f-track day.i told he was right and i just skock my head and i walked away.this happened right after you left.oh yea good to catch up with you and your friend on sunday drive safe talk soon ,

I just stumbled apon this thread, was it Sunday that the 355 went into the wall? I was there and didn't hear anything of it.

Adrian your Turbo is wicked fast. I was running Red last session on Sunday I was in a Green M3 and looked in my mirror you weren't there then a second later you were right up on me and then when you went by on the straight i was just in amazement of how hard it took off. What do you have done?

Stuart were you running your GT3 in blue with no tag on the rear?

scary attitude regarding consumables especially since one person's lack of judgment can endanger the car and driver following them!

Well, the theory that street tires are at their best when they're out of tread must be what this guy was thinking

My turbo is pretty stock except cargraphic exhaust, jic suspension and, nitto nto1 tires. It was my 1st time out on the north course with the turbo so I was getting a feel for it. I'm planing on doing some performance mods this winter!

Thanks
Adrian

Ouch....that doesn't look good. I don't know that I would want to be out on the track with someone who didn't realize these were so bad....it would be hard to believe they weren't obviously toast the run before they were pulled.
