Picked up a Track Toy......Spec Racer Ford!!!!

I've been tracking quite a bit in the Lotus (Lotus Challenge Series), and I recently got my SCCA license. So I decided to step it up a notch and picked up an SRF.
The car is amazing to drive, and really takes precise driving skills to control the car. It is only 105 hp, but weighs only 1500 lbs. ... more of a momentum car.
See you at the track:

Did essentially the same thing, pulling the Esprit and CTS-V off track, replacing them with a Radical SR3. Easy, absolute hoot and much less nerve racking.

Wow. Those both look like they would be soooo much fun. What are the specs on the SR3? How much HP, weight, etc.?

Radical weighs in at about 1,100 pounds with a 1,300cc engine (highly tuned) around 200HP, 6-speed sequential gear box and seating for two.

^1hp for every 5.5 pounds...that has got to feel like a rocketship! I would absolutely love to track that thing. I bet that's the most fun you can have with your clothes on .

Looks like fun! What do those cost now a days? What are class rules about weight? Is minimum weight for both car and driver?

Grantsfo:

You can pick up a nice pre-owned Radical for $35K and up. New is about double that. We don't race, but rather do track days (www.MVPTrackTime.com) so weight is not an issue, well other then when I step in the total weight goes up about 20%. SIGH!
