has anyone ordered a new helmet yet? if so where did you buy it? Not sure if it's shipping yet.

 

Arai is my helmet of choice! I will be needing one of these.

 

I had an Arai 2000 M-rated helmet left over from cycling days which needed replacement to conform with new 2005-2010 stds. Loved that helmet but purchased a Bell M4, ~$380, from SafeRacer since absolute fit is not as important to me in a car as it was on a bike at speed. A Bell also saved my noggin once upon a time 35 years ago so I owed them one.

 

I got the GP-6 SA2010 from Speedware Motorsports. They usually have good stock. It is listed as "coming soon" right now, but I would still give them a shout.

Checked in with Apex and Speedware. The SA2010 GP-5W is backordered everywhere as a result of the supply chain issues in Japan (recent natural disaster).

Speedware may have some SA2005 GP-5W helmets on clearance, but not larges.

 

Arai's are the most comfortable of all....

 

have you tried stilo? i think stilo is more comfortable than Arai

 

Different manufactures fit different shape heads. Got to try on before you buy
