On the track with PDK for the first time
I had to move from the GT3 RS to a Carrera S, story of compromise and the wife. The RS was crisp, inputs resulted in immediate results, on the track I felt one with the car. Having the GT2 CF seats and harness made it that much better...on the track.
The Carrera S is responsive but not like the RS. The GT3 control arms helped that alot and the H&R sways stopped the roll but it's heavier and cushy compared to the RS. It's much more pleasant on the street than the RS.
I want both!!!!!! 6 speed vs. PDK, well PDK is f*&king awesome. Put that tranny in a GT3 would make one hell of a combination.
Don't get me wrong as I really like feeling part of the car and the artwork of foot control is very much part of that but you can't beat PDK. The seats in the Carrera are just 12 way power with little support for tracking purposes and with the standard seatbelt, I was forced to using knees and elbows to hold myself in place, the PDK was that much more welcome.

Track on PDK
It's good to hear that the paddles have a benefit at the track. I have gt 2 seats and find them perfectly comfortable, even on 4 hr rides. The intent was to enjoy at least two track days a year. So far 15 months without a visit. The combination of the seats, pasm s, and the pdk should be a great deal of fun. I'll take your post as a spark to get to a track soon.
Actually I tried both paddle and allowing the computer to handle things....the computer is faster but I like having the control. Takes a bit of getting used to but have to say I don't miss the clutch. (I still try stepping on the clutch pedal though)
