Video options for track days and/or autocross???

I'm looking to add a GoPro or something similar for when I track my car or take it to autocross. Any suggestions? Of course I want the most bang for my buck, without spending too many of those bucks! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Everybody talks about GoPro like its the best game in town, nay, the only game in town. It isn't. Check out Contour. I'm on my 3rd cuz they keep coming out with better and better ones.

-Awesome picture, with full 1080p HD or 720p.
-slide to start/stop that can be done with ski gloves on
-external mic connection
-Bluetooth app lets u actually SEE what your are going to film and to change camera settings
-tons of mounting options, & mounts flush to side of a helmet so u don't look like a Teletubby
-rotating lens bezel for different angles, easy to flip the camera backwards,
