I saw the other thread where someone posted about taking his TT to the track in Florida, and everyone posted a ton of great feedback about local (e.g. florida) schools.

I'm in the DC area. I just signed up for the Capital PCA chapter. They start having some beginner DE events next year (HPDC), but nothing in the interim.

Any recommendations for ways to learn in the interim?

 

The HPDE season at Summit Point is over. It will pick up again in April.

You would have to head (well) south now to find HPDE events. Probably best to concentrate on car maintenance prep for Spring.

PCA and BMWCCA have multiple chapters that run events at Summit Point April - October. There is also NJMP, VIR and Watkins Glen as DE venues

 

New Track in Thornburg VA should be open in the spring. 95 just south of Fredericksburg! It's the new location of 'Old Dominion Speedway' that use to be in Manassas before new home construction forced them to close. 5/8 'NASCAR oval is built, 1/8 dragstrip is done and the 2 mile road course is now being paved. google 'Dominion Speedway' for additional information
