Hey guys. I just purchased a 997.1 turbo with a protomotive upgraded turbo kit on it. It currently has a USP 3" catless exhaust on there and I was looking to purchase something a little quieter and perhaps catted. I'm trying to keep an eye out for a used cargraphic or europipe exhaust. My question is basically if I'll lose power or have more lag if I'm only running 1.2 - 1.6 bar? Thanks.

What is the hp/torque currently being produced?

 

I never had the car dyno'ed. It does run 1.2 bar on low boost and 1.5 bar on high boost with race gas though. I would say about 650ish on low boost.

 

My guess .... a little loss of both. Your back pressure will increase with just about any exhaust that has cats and muffler versus what you are using. I am utilizing a custom Europipe exhaust with this build. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-j-maring.html I love the sound, but I do lose some performance. Then again, I have performance to spare.

 

I'm hoping it's not too noticeable. I don't want to have to turn up the boost or anything if I can help it.

 

Well I ended up purchasing a europipe stage 2 exhaust for pretty cheap. It's going on on monday. I'm debating if I should remove the cats or not.
