Mike, how many miles do you have on your treg with the ecu flash. I have been thinking about doing a flash for a while but everyone i talk to says the tranny wont hold up with the extra power.

Do you have dyno charts for your flash? Additional gains with an intake and/or exhaust?

Probably around 15,000-20,000 miles since the reflash. Just so you know in our market VW are launching a new limited version with slightly less power than my reflash and costs $25,000 more than a standard V10 here. I highly doubt they would have changed anything in the tranny for that one just because of a slight bump up in power. I'm quite confident my tranny will be just fine!

UNITRONIC makes a flash for about $800. it's probably the most stable flash i've seen on a V10 and the most affordable. brings your V10 up to 378HP and 640LB of torque.

theres a cold air intake that is made for the porsche cayenne that fits directly into the V10 touareg also. it opens up the throttle bodies for more air intake.

Remus makes an exhaust for the V10 and it costs somewhere along the lines of $1200. personally, i wouldnt go with an exhaust, diesel dont need em...just straight pipe it from the cat back...eliminate everything...it'll free up a lot of back pressure and you'll get a nice diesel rumble to your ride...

next step would be propane.
Bully dog makes a universal propane kit for the treg. the kit costs around $800 or so and you'll need an 8 gallon DOT approved propane tank. the tank will run you about $500. once installed not only will you be faster, but you're engine will run a lot cleaner and it'll actually improve your diesel mileage.

just a quick tip...if you do a chip and a propane kit you'll easily be running a high 12 second quarter mile. NOW THAT'S A FAST TRUCK.

i know a lot of you nay-sayers are not going to want to put a propane tank in your truck. but it's only 8 gallons, it could easily be welded and hidden underneath the frame rail of the treg where it wont be disturbing anything or taking up any space...

I think there are a few O.CT T-Reg owners that are on this board. I did talk to them a while ago, and after 3years into their chips, no problems have been reported.
