Now that the turbo is in and all the lines and hoses are connected we are really starting to make some head way here and the excitement is growing by the hour. So to help cool things down, we called upon APR once again for an upgraded intercooler which is still on sale by the way till Friday and fits all MK5, MK6, GTI's and Jetta's with FSI & TSI engines.

Before you get started, make sure your wearing a pair of sold paints and sneakers, and have a bucket ready as we will be draining the coolant during this process. You will also need an Air Conditioning tool tool kit and some more R34 refigerant.
First things first disconnect the intercooler hoses on the driver and passenger sides leading to the intercooler. The hose coming out of the driver side bends in front of the engine and connects to the throttle body pipe. A flat head screw drive is all you need to on hook the clips that are keeping them connected. The passenger side comes from the pancake pipe which comes from the hot side of the turbo but this should already be down and off the car if you have already installed the stage 3 turbo kit. If your running a K04 upgrade or stock turbo there are two screws that hold the pancake plastic pipe to the side of the engine. Remove the fender lining and the passenger front wheel if you haven't done so already.

Intercooler to throttle body pipe
My bad on this one I took a picture of removing the passenger side intercooler pipe but I'm having a hard time loading it for some reason but its connected to the end of this pipe here which is known as the pancake pipe.
