It's very simple to figure out. They are selling the cheapest (price wise) german sedan in america. And if you include the beattle and the golf, its got to many siblings on the road. Which is what the VW badge reprensents. A people's car. Not a handling phenom like the BMW's. Or prestige of Mercedes. Or sheer performance of Porsches.

I'm not saying it is not stupid to choose badge over beauty/performance, but people who shell out for these vehicles often are badge prone.

Beautiful car worthy of a bump. I have a 2003 W8. I can only imagine what that 12 must feel like when its on the boil!
