The original "HRE"

Was at the JACCS today and ran across these, not sure if everyone knows what HRE stands for - "Hayashi Race Engineering", here's a pic of a set of their original wheels...pretty cool!

HRE Wheels is infamous around these parts
HRE actually stands for "Howald Racing Enterprises" after the founder's last name. We imported Hayashi racing wheels a long time ago for a brief period, so i think it is just a funny coincidence.

If I am not mistaken the original HRE's were 3 peice 17" fuchs.

Chad, I'm friends with Evan and actually did an article on HRE a few years back...trust me on this one LOL.

Reminds me of the BBS RS 3 piece wheels from the 80's. I still own a set of 9's & 11's X 15 from my 930. The rear tires are 345's same as the Lambo. My 930 looked liked a pregnant roller skate from the rear with a muscle car look.
